This is a great cup noodle option if you appreciate big portions at a value for money price. This was only 198 yen, which is cheaper than a lot of name-branded noodle products -- this one is just Lawson's own store brand. The broth for this has a spicy kick with a noticeable pork flavor, and the noodles aren't your "traditional" thick udon but are definitely thicker (and flatter) than your standard cup noodle which made them satisfying to eat. I'd happily recommend this to anyone looking to maximize their value for money and anyone who likes a spicy kick to their noodles of choice.

It's hard to tell from the picture but this is a sizeable portion of noodles -- the whole cup comes in at 499 calories, which isn't awful for an entire meal -- but what it lacks is any real oomph when it comes to protein or veggies. If you're looking for something warm and inexpensive then this is good, however, if you're looking for something that will keep you satiated for a long period then you might find this to be a little lacking. I find that noodles on their own don't really keep me feeling full for very long. Taste-wise though I really liked these and appreciated the kick of spice that they had -- I found that to be a nice addition. Keep an eye out for these at your local Lawson if you're looking for an inexpensive, high volume cup noodle product.
