The description

This product is a croissant with fresh cream, and it's part of a collaboration range between Lawson's Uchi Cafe and Milk. It was priced at 149 yen including tax.

The good

This is another item from the current Uchi Cafe x Milk collaboration at Lawson, and it's quite a simple product that I think would have a broad appeal. It's a softer-style croissant that comes filled with whipped cream made using Hokkaido-sourced dairy, and for the price (149 yen including tax) I think it's a pretty good deal. Often, collaboration products seem to be priced higher than what their standard store-labelled counterparts would be, so this was a pleasant surprise. Overall, I think if you're looking for a fairly simple bread-based product then this is a good option to try.

The not so good

As I mentioned above, the croissant isn't your typical crispy, bakery-style one -- it's a lot softer, and I guess maybe that's owing to the cream filling and the fact that it's plastic-wrapped for convenience store sales purposes. If you're looking for a crispy croissant then this isn't it -- just go into it with expectation management so that you're not disappointed. All things considered though, I liked this a lot. I think the simplicity of it is actually a selling point, and it's something that I feel would appeal to most people out there. Give it a try if it sounds good to you!
