The description
This product is a caramel and vanilla chiffon cake, and it's available from Lawson convenience stores at the moment. It was priced at 160 yen including tax.
The good
First and foremost, the size of this product in relation to the price is a real winner. It's hard to tell from the photo but it's large portion, easily enough for two people in my opinion. If you're wanting maximum bang for your buck then this is a good option to check out. I think the taste of it is good, too. Neither the caramel or the vanilla flavors are too strong or overpowering, so there are no worries about the cake being too sweet -- I feel like it's a solidly Japanese-style take on a flavored chiffon cake. Overall I'd say it's worth trying, especially for the value for money aspect!
The not so good
As I mentioned above, neither the caramel or the vanilla flavors in this product were particularly strong. That's great if you're looking for a less cloyingly sweet cake, but if you are really wanting strong caramel or vanilla tastes then this might feel a little lackluster to you. Overall though, I think this product is hard to fault for the value for money and the size of it. If you go into it just expecting it to have more muted flavors then I don't think you'll be disappointed. I imagine it'll only be on store shelves for a short while, so have a look at your local Lawson if it sounds good to you. Happy eating!
