Daiso Hibiscus & Rose Hip Tea

Daiso Hibiscus & Rose Hip Tea photo

I got this because I recently read about the health benefits of hibiscus tea. This is from the same series as the Shizuoka green tea varieties sold there, but it has five bags instead of ten.

I thought it was expensive, but it is still cheaper compared with the same type of tea in supermarkets. (I saw a box of ten tea bags for almost 300 yen.)

I thought I liked this kind of tea, but maybe I had never had it before. I'm pretty sure I've tried it in a restaurant.

I was expecting a fruity smell, but it just smelled strange to me.

The taste is the same, but not bad. It was relaxing and the strong pink color is appropriate for this time of year.

The package says a product of Japan, meaning it's processed in Shizuoka. The rose hips are from South Africa and the hibiscus is from China. That was kind of a let down, considering roses and hibiscus grow in Japan. I guess it's the reason for the price.
