Lotte - 爽 - Strawberry Condensed Milk

Browsing the ice cream aisle I found an appealing new flavor. I was so excited when I saw it and couldn't wait to try it. I think anything that's strawberry flavored can't go wrong and this one looked like it had condensed milk too. 

Once again the swirl design on the inside was so cute. I had no idea what kind of flavor it would be since Japan has so many types of strawberry tastes. Was it going to be tarty or milky? 

After one bite, my taste buds were a bit conflicted. The strawberry was on the tart side - which I wasn't a big fan of. But there was also a subtle creamier sweeter side - which I realized was the condensed milk. When you eat both flavors together, it has both flavors mixed into it tasting a bit tarty and sour then sweeter then sour again. I tried to scoop out the strawberry first then finish it with the condensed milk.

This flavor wasn't the best to me, but it wasn't bad at all. It reminded me of shaved ice with the icy and crunchy texture as well as the condensed milk flavor that I always add on my shaved ice. I think this flavor would be more enjoyable and refreshing in the summer!
