Gallery - Autumn in Inagi
Are you interested in exploring a new side of Tokyo through walking? I would highly suggest visiting my neighborhood. I’m currently living in Inagi City located in the western part of Tokyo. There are many beautiful scenic spots you can see without the need of traveling far. It takes about 30 minutes from Shibuya or Shinjuku by express train. Google map here. One of many parks in my neighborhood Inagi is blessed with beautiful nature so you can appreciate the greenery all year round, but autumn is arguably the best season to come. It’s the time of the year to relish pleasant temperatures and an abundance of sunny days. Also, watching leaves turn to vivid red, orange, yellow, and brown is quite popular. See for yourself in late October through November. We are now in early November and the maple trees are already in vibrant red! It's perfect for taking lovely photos and spending time outdoors. Since Inagi is on the outskirts of Tokyo, it’s not bustling as compared to the city center. There are plenty of open spaces so it doesn’t get crowded. On the weekends, parks can get busy but there is a massive space to share with. Another park with water fountain Those who enjoy walking through nature can do short hikes. I can see a lot of people taking the Omura park - Koyodai walking course, especially in autumn. The route starts in Omura park and ends in Koyodai. Check out this link for more details. On the way, you can see various trees such as Maple and Ginkgo trees. The highlight of the walking course is the Fine tower at Shiroyama Park. It’s an observation deck with a spectacular view of the city. You have to take the stairs to the top of the hill, and beware that it's steep! One more thing, the opening time is limited. Up to date, It’s only open on Sundays afternoon. Check open hours here. Shiroyama ParkShiroyama ParkFine Tower's stairsI hope you have a marvelous time in Inagi in autumn.
