Beautiful in spring too
Kinchakuda Park is best known for its red spider lilies, or "Manjushage" as they call them. In fact, the image of millions of red spider lilies in bloom at this park, is one of the most famous Autumn scenes in all of Japan. But the park is also beautiful at other times of the year, particularly spring when you can see cherry blossoms and rapeseed blooming together. Moreover, they have dozens of different cherry blossom varieties including some rarer varieties.

Amazing park for the spider lily blooms
Kinchakuda Park is located in Saitama, and it's an incredible spot to visit for a particular type of flowers - spider lilies. The park has a blanketed floor of these beautiful blooms, and it really is worth a visit if you're nearby (or not too far away). The problem with spider lilies though is that they're a bit of a fickle flower and only stay in bloom for a little less than a week (most reports usually say peak blooms are for 5 to 6 days) so you have to be pretty flexible with when you can visit. If you're headed there by train, the closest station to the park is Koma Station - from there it's about a 15 minute walk. When the spider lily festival is on, there is an admission fee of 300 yen to that part of the park, but for the incredible sight of all those flowers I think it's worth it.
