The one and only "Japan shrine"

Nihon is the Japanese for Japan. Amazingly, there is only one "Nihon" Shrine in all of Japan. And it is in Honjo City in Saitama Prefecture. Despite its claim to fame, it is very off the beaten path. There is quite a bit to see in the area though, but unfortunately though in order to explore the area you really do need a car. However, some of the attractions are within walking distance as you can see on the City-cost review map. Another point of interest of this shrine is its giant blue daruma doll.
