Lovely Eatery Run by Some Older Ladies
A quaint pasta restaurant just a bit of a walk from the Izu-Kogen station, this eatery is a lot different from anything I’ve gotten used to. It has outside tables next to an open lawn with a fountain and the indoor tables have some nice cushions on the seating. The restaurant is quite spacious and the ladies running the restaurant change up the menu every now and then with something they want to experiment with. On my visit, my partner and I had tarako pasta and some shrimp gratin. It sounds fairly typical, but the flavours were anything but. It tasted home-cooked and professional at the same time. Overall, a great experience here. Just ignore some of the signage if you will get offended by outdated imagery.
