Smaller than some other branches but does the job

This branch of the Doutor coffee chain in Niigata City is in a fairly narrow building, but there's still a good amount of seating inside. They open early by Japanese standards on weekdays (7.30am) and weekends (8am) so it's convenient if you're in the area and want a caffeine fix or bite to eat. Their morning sets in particular offer some great value for money and it's a little nicer to have somewhere to sit than grabbing convenience store coffee/eats.
