Rokko Botanical Garden
On Rokko Mountain in Kobe, not far from the Cable Car but still a bus ride up the hill, there is an Alpine garden. The plants featured are from Japan and the Himalayas. As it's on a mountain, there are lots of steps and slopes. It isn't that big but it feels like a good walk to see it all. In May, most of the flowers were tiny grasslike things. I still think it's a good time of year that isn't too hot and humid and there were no mosquitos yet. It was nothing exciting for the price. There are toilets and a cafe near the entrance. They had a stamp rally to get a discount at the cafe and also "flower bingo" but I wasn't sure how to play since the flowers bloom at different times of year.
