Petit Pois is a cafe in Kashiwazaki which serves up a nice range of both full meals and sweets, so it's fine to pop in for a main dish or just some coffee and cake. One of the most popular dishes here is their omurice which comes in several different formats -- the standard comes with beautifully piped mashed potatoes and demi-glace sauce (1310 yen). Sweets-wise there is a dessert of the day that changes, plus some staples including pudding, fruit and chocolate parfaits, and homemade ice cream. When I visited the desserts of the day were a sweet potato creme brûlée and a banana and walnut pound cake, both were great and seemed fitting for the season. There's a good amount of seating inside, and a parking lot right next to the building.
