Living in Kagawa
Kagawa Prefecture, located on Shikoku Island in western Japan, is the smallest prefecture in Japan. Despite its small size, Kagawa Prefecture boasts 700 udon restaurants, which it is most famous for. Less than 1,000,000 people live in Kagawa Prefecture. The capital, Takamatsu, and its surrounding metropolitan area, has a population of 838,788, over 80% of the total prefectural population. One of the most beautiful gardens in Japan, Ritsurin Garden, is located in Kagawa Prefecture, dating back to the 16th century. By way of the Great Seto Bridge, one can travel from Kagawa Prefecture to Okayama Prefecture on Honshu, in about 20 minutes. The Great Seto Bridge is the longest double-tier bridge of its kind in the world.
