A full zodiac cycle in Japan

I was thinking about it the last couple of days, but I moved here in 2013 and that was the last time it was the Year of the Snake. It feels interesting to have now completed a full zodiac cycle living in Japan, and I do think the prominence of the zodiac animal here has made me more interested in the concept overall.

I was born in the Year of the Rat, and when I look up the personality traits for people born in that year it says that they are intelligent and hard-working, and mindful of money. I'll take it! Relationship-wise, apparently those born in the year of the rat are compatible with those born under their own sign, or under the year of the ox, dragon, or monkey. That situation fits me as well, so maybe there's some truth to it all!

For those born in the Year of the Snake, some personality traits are meant to be wisdom, intuition, and charm. The last years of the snake have been 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013, and now in 2025, so I'm curious if any of you were born in those years if you feel the traits apply.
