If you like creamy desserts you'll really enjoy the indulgent feel of this one. I didn't know what a bavarois was until I googled it later - it's just a fancy way of saying Bavarian Cream, which I've had before. This one has a really delicious brown sugar syrup on top of it, and it's also dusted with kinako powder – I loved how that really added to the flavor, and gave it a wonderfully earthy, slightly nutty taste. I also thought that despite it being in a plastic container, the presentation was very nice. No real complaints in that regard!

I do think if you're looking at this dessert from a value for money perspective you might be disappointed. It's relatively simple in comparison to other similarly priced items on convenience store shelves at the moment, so I'd probably take a point off for the "cost to wow-factor" ratio being low. I still think if you're after a smooth, indulgent-feeling dessert that this is a nice convenience store option, and I certainly wasn't disappointed by the flavor. I'd probably buy it again if I was in the mood for it and it was still available.
