My favorite "pseudo-holiday" in Japan

I feel like there are a few "pseudo-holidays" here in Japan, and my absolute favorite is Pocky Day which falls on November 11th. The reason it's on that date is because when written down, 11/11 looks like Pocky sticks!

It's a little tradition my family and I have celebrated for several years running now, and we always get ready with our favorite flavors to enjoy. Sometimes it's hard to incorporate traditions from my home country into expat life here, so I'm a big fan of jumping on the bandwagon and embracing some of Japan's!

We're always ready for Pocky Day ahead of time!

Are you planning on picking up any Pocky for Pocky Day? Do you have a favorite flavor?
