Uwasekigata Park: a top spot for spring flower combos

BigFamJapan posed a question in the Q&A section yesterday about our favorite cherry blossom flower combinations. There are lots of flowers that bloom around a similar timeframe to sakura, and my top favorite is probably the criminally underrated nanohana. 

One place to enjoy them in Niigata is at Uwasekigata Park, somewhere I've visited several times during my years out here. The photo below is from a couple of years ago, but it is a beautiful spot to check out if you are in the area. Loads of space, no real crowds, and if you time it right the cheery yellows and pastel pinks are so nice to appreciate together.
