The description

This product is a whipped cream and custard cream filled bread, which is a collaborative effort between Lawson and Milk Cafe. It's priced at 258 yen including tax.

The good

First of all, I think it's cool to see convenience stores doing collaborative sweets or desserts with other companies. This bread is a collab with Milk Cafe, a chain of cafes that specialize in Hokkaido cream-based products. (You can find their store listing here if you want to visit their cafes in person : https://milk-craftcream.com/en.html). The size of the product is pretty impressive, personally for me the whole thing was too much to eat so I split it with my husband. It's filled very generously with cream and custard cream, so if you like those consistencies and flavors then you are almost guaranteed to like this product.

The not so good

For me, the bread was probably a bit too generously filled with cream and custard cream -- and this is coming from someone who loves custard. The flavor, whilst being good, got boring after a while - I'm glad I had my husband to split it with, otherwise I probably would have ended up trashing the other part of it. Also, for 258 yen, the product felt a little overpriced for what it was - a cream-filled bread roll. I understand since it's a collaborative thing that there's probably a bit of a price markup associated, but I don't think I'd go out of my way to get it again.
