In a lot of decent-sized supermarkets, you can find a small sub-section of the snack aisle where there are a lot of small, cheap and often kid friendly snacks set up. Nearby, some of the supermarkets around here even have little baskets for kids to put their shopping in. Jyagashio Bata chips are a regular feature of these sections. Priced at a very reasonable 51 yen (59 yen including tax), they are a packet of four flat, large chips generously flavored with salt and butter.
