This Hachiware onigiri is a limited time collaboration with the popular manga series Chiikawa, and the illustrations on the wrapper are cute and eye-catching. If you're like me and still get captivated by cute things then you might want to add this to your 7-11 basket. Taste-wise, this contains a mix of Shimeji mushrooms, burdock root, carrots, chicken, and fried tofu pieces -- so there's a good variety of flavors and textures to it. It's also a little cheaper than the other onigiri in this Chiikawa range (the ketchup one) so if you're looking for the maximum value for money then this one probably wins in that regard!

Personally, if I had to pick one of the two onigiri, I'd still opt for the ketchup flavored one even though it's 10 yen more expensive -- I just liked the flavors and the ingredients more in that one. The dashi flavor is quite noticeable in this one so if you're not a fan of that fishy kinda taste then I'd suggest the ketchup one. Overall though this is still good and has a nice variety of ingredients and textures to it. It's only going to be around for a limited time, so head into your local 7-11 while you can if it's something you want to try. Happy eating, and enjoy!
